Welcome
Hi, my name is Ciara.
I'm a Yin Yoga and Qigong teacher, and a devoted student of both. I am deeply inspired by Taoist wisdom and the rhythms of the natural world, and love how these practices invite us to slow down and move with life rather than against it.
I love to work with people who, in the midst of busy lives, are ready to take some time to stop striving and start allowing — to move from the noise of the mind into the quiet intelligence of the heart.

Through yin yoga, qigong, and heart-centered meditation, we can create space for something often overlooked: the body's innate wisdom, the heart's capacity to guide, and the felt sense of being part of nature rather than separate from it.
In my offerings, I teach in a way that's warm, inclusive, and playful — creating space for people to move at their own pace, explore what's alive in them, and trust their own inner guidance.
Whether you're new to these practices or have been exploring for years, welcome!

Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a slow, quiet and grounding practice, that invites you to soften and take time to listen inward.
Postures are held for several minutes at a time to gently strengthen, hydrate and release tension in the body’s deeper connective tissues, helping to improve joint mobility and overall flexibility.
Instead of using muscle engagement to shape the pose, yin encourages you to relax into stillness and observe sensation whilst the body slowly softens.
Accessible to all levels, yin yoga offers a balancing pause from busy lives and also beautifully compliments more active styles of exercise, adding depth, mobility, and recovery to your practice.
Qigong
Qigong is a gentle yet energising practice that combines slow, fluid movement with breath and focused awareness. Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and Taoist philosophy, it supports the smooth flow of energy through the body, helping you feel more balanced, resilient, and nourished.

The movements are simple but intentional, releasing tension, improving mobility, and restoring vitality—especially helpful for bodies shaped by desk work, stress, or busy lives (almost all of us these days!).
Accessible to all, Qigong meets you where you are, offering a way to move with softness while still building strength and presence.

In our modern fast-paced world, this ancient practice is more relevant than ever, supporting clarity, calm, and sustainable energy.
The Power of the Heart
I am passionate about the quiet power of our hearts in our lives. In this modern world our heads seem to rule the show and the infinite wisdom of the heart is rarely tapped into.
In my own life, having tried numerous styles of meditation over the years, the one that finally had the most profound effect and is now a non-negotiable part of my daily life, is heart-based meditation.
I am a huge fan of the work of The HeartMath Institute (see more here), and practice their techniques daily. I was also lucky enough to study Self-Enquiry and the work of Ramana Maharshi as part of my Yin Yoga training.
Both of these methods shape my connection to and relationship with my own heart, and I am deeply inspired to bring this awareness and connection into my classes.
